Jim & all the family,

I am so sorry for your loss of a wife, daughter, sister and friend.  Hetty was a kind and giving person; she didn't know the meaning of the word "NO".  She was always smiling even though I knew she didn't feel well.  She was so enthusiastic especially about family history and had some wonderful ideas.  She wasn't willing to give up and always looked to the future.
I will miss her as I know all the GenBuddies will.
Hetty, I hope you are finding all the family you have been looking for and having the time of your life.

The Dash

I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her memorial
From the beginning...to the end.

He noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke of the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth
And now only those who love her
Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own,
The cars...the house...the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.

This poem continues but this is the part I cherish and I know Henrietta spent her dash with laughs, loves of family and friends.  She was a special person to me even though we had only a few years together, she was full of life to the max.  Missing her will be very hard for me.  Her work and name will be listed in our society's collection forever.  God Bless.   Trina Gentry, SCCH&GS.
 

Jim & all of Hetty's family - I'm so sorry for your loss and I will miss Hetty every day.  As you can see by all her pictures she was never without that wonderful smile and behind it was that great sense of humor.  She was a great friend and I'll miss our time together but Heaven is a much better place with Hetty there and it makes it more welcoming than ever.  We miss you my friend.
